Re: Guild Wars
Not since early 2005. Was addicted to it tho, won Hall of Heroes a couple of times with my guild. Back in the days thatw as quite an achievement i bet more than 5 years after the game is totally different. Great game tho, lots of memories.

Re: Guild Wars
It's still a fine accomplishment Morph. Without a good guild it's impossible. It was possible to win in the Halls with a PUG in those days, but it rarely happens now.
My guild used to do it frequently, but I stopped playing for a while and everyone left. I still can't bear to part with the 800k it took me to fill up the Guild Hall, even though it is devoid of any players.
Oddly enough, my guild is [SoFA]. The Soldier of Fortune Alliance. lol. It was meant to be actual mercenaries, but I can't believe that sof2 didn't sneak into my subconscious when I named it.

Re: Guild Wars
It's not going to be shut down Denis. But it will, of course, lose a lot of players.
Just an incentive idea if you are going to play GW 2. Achievements you make on your characters on GW will carry over to the characters you make on GW2. So if you plan on playing GW2, it wouldn't hurt to go ahead and do a few things on GW

Re: Guild Wars
It will be a fresh new begining. Its just the achievements. Besides Guild Wars is not a typical MMO. There is a huge difference between lets say World of Warcraft and Guild Wars. Its hard to describe the differences but myself playing them both i must say that WoW is simply way way more complex game. Professions, rewards, rankings, titles, PvE, PvP, shitloads of skills, talent trees... All in all warcraft is a bigger game but you pay the price for it.
But its complexity is its weak spot too epsecially in Player vs Player (pvp)
GW is more player vs player oriented hence this aspect of the game is way more balanced than it is at WoW. For instance at warcraft i played Mage and Paladin. All good here. Too bad i was only a PvP player and those two classes were considered the worst for PvP especially the arenas which i played the most (2v2). Simply said i lost way too many nerves at WoW for that. I don't regret quitting it. Definitely one of the best games ever made tho.
Sorry for the geek talk but when talking about mmos you cant go without it.
