Dead Island

isnt this just upgraded Left4Dead on an island???

cant see whats that special about this game other than the graphics and customisation.

The cinematic trailer. Definitely one of the better ones that i have seen. Apart from that, this game will be more focused on melee combat rather than using guns. I guess thats the main difference from L4D. Even tho in the gameplay trailer they are mostly showing shooting. Never had any high hopes for this game, probably because its not my type of game anyway. Lets wait for the reivews.

Not many games get such a high average score throughout all of the magazines. Infact none of those that you play did, including BC2, SOF2, MW2, Football Manager and L42. Infact this year there have been only 2 so far with an average score of 90+, Deus Ex Human Revolution and Portal 2. Last year only 3 and none of them you got. Anything above 80+ is well worth playing, 90+ are pure gems.

Note that i said average score throughout all of the magazines and sites (gamespot included). There are two dedicated sites that measure those scores. Metactritic.com and gamerankings.com. I prefer gamerankings.com Its a bit harder to reach 90+ that way. Then again all those games that i named scored close to 90.

Jesus Dragan, I never took you for such a naive person. You do know those rating systems are a SHAM, right?? They're COMPLETE and UTTER BULLSHIT. Websites/magazines are PAID by video game marketing departments for additional points in their ratings. That's why you see some CRAP games getting scores similar to those of BF3 and Skyrim. Seriously man, stop relying on ratings. If you REALLY want to know how good a game is, play it for yourself. At the very least, read reviews written by actual people in underground gaming sites.

Heh i know that Riz. Thats why i follow the sites like gamerankings.com and metacritic. They combine the scores from alot of the different magazines, underground ones included.

As you can see there are reviewers from russia and czech republic included there. I doubt publisher of dead island bribed them.
