Generals!

Command and Conquer Generals, for those of you who have it you need to play a few games with me and morph some time, using Hamachi, patch 1.08 as well.

It runs very smoothly and i think with maybe a few custom maps it could be a blast.

He is lying, i have never even played that game. its a game right?

I installed the game today, so when i came back from work preapere to die
and as far as i know it is 1.8 version and not 1.08

yeay maybe. I know that in game it says version 1.8

If you all really like strategy,try World in Conflict:complete edition.Its Real-Time Strategy based and depends heavily on teamplay and tactics.If you do want to give it a try,make sure you work your way tru the single player at all dificulty levels or ask me for some tips on how to start with the multiplayer.If you start with the multiplayer without certain knowledge and dont know what to do,this is very bad for the team you're playing with and you will get kicked often.

Its one of the worst RTS games ever made.

It completely removes you from the micro management and instead you feel like you are watching someone else at work and maybe being given the chance to make one or two decisions along the way.

Don't listen to Cake Dude and his gaming comments. The guy said that Half-Life 2 sucks. Wish WiC worked on my PC. I have always loved Massive Entertainment games. Ground Control being the one i have in mind. Infact when im done finishing Mechwarrior 4 im going for Ground Control series.

Seeing tho that Me, Cake, Lean, Riz, and Denis have generals we need just one more so we can do a massive 3v3 battle. Might be awesome.

He right bout the micro-management.But many strategy-games leave that out on purpose.They dont want to happen with their game,what happened to Starcraft.If micro-management becomes to important,like in Starcraft,it will draw attention away from the actual strategy.You will face young kids that can click faster then you or if they got more time then you,learn a series of keys they press in a very small timespan,like the koreans(flash and jaedong).A good example of micro-management ability,was the zerglingrush in Starcraft.Only the terran side could countermeassure that cos their keybuildings could lift-off and when you enuff resoucres,Siegetanks flanked with some Goliaths,could slow them down,but if you played the Protoss,you didn't stand a chance against that,especially early in the game,so nobody used the Protoss anymore,and that was a shame cos the Protoss really did had some strong abilitys in strategic battles.Thats why it took so long for Starcraft 2 to come out(2 more months,baby!!!).They thought all the micro-management abilitys tru and gave each side something to countermeasure that.Like for the zerglingrush,they created new Protossunits and abilitys,the colossus and warp.
WIC indeed doesn't have much micro-management,cos its aims at strategic and teambased battles.If the game didn't act so weird while im broadcasting with xfire,i would do this more.But when i enable xfire-ingame,for some reason,it keeps showing my line-of-view lines and to make xfire-ingame work in WIC,i also need to switch back to DX9 rendering cos xfire doesn't work with DX10 rendering.

What is Hamachi?

Its a program that creates a virtual LAN so you can easily play games online, older ones mainly such as Generals.

Hypothetically, if I didn't own an "original" copy of Generals, would it work over this Hamachi?

sure it works. It doesnt matter if u have an original copy or not. This program was created for pirated versions of games . Only important thing is that all players have same version of game

i have hamachi...cos of Maiko i have it. Remember her morph.

hmmm i cant run mine off the CD....keeps telling me to put in a CD....its a legit copy of the game i even took the wrapper of it before i installed lol.

Find a no-cd crack.

Mine is working now thanks to that patch....tried it out....reminds me alot of Earth 2150.

i have reinstalled Red Alert 2, its just the best.
